Join Women for Election in Sligo on the evening of February 28th for a panel discussion on Europe with MEP Marian Harkin, Tara Farrell, Deputy CEO of the Longford Women’s Link, Fiona Meehan of 50:50 North West, MEP candidate Maria Walsh and thejournal.ie reporter Orla Ryan as chair.

Órla Ryan is a reporter with TheJournal.ie. She is interested in current affairs, health and social justice issues. Órla is a recipient of the Mary Raftery Journalism Fund and the Simon Cumbers Media Fund. She has written for The Irish Times, The Guardian and The New York Observer. She is from Sligo but lives in Dublin.

This event is part of our Communicating Europe series, the first of which took place in Dublin on December 3rd with MEP Lynn Boylan, Noelle O’Connell of European Movement Ireland, Hannah Deasy of the IIEA and Shona Murray of Euronews.

The event will kick off at 6pm in the Glasshouse hotel with a networking session. This event is ideal for women in Sligo and surrounding regions who want to meet like-minded women to discuss politics – local, national and European.
