Women for Election are delighted to collaborate with Meta on this half day training on Online Safety and Resilience.
Social media is a massive part of politics, and all too often women in political life are subject to abuse on social media platforms.
Online abuse is never acceptable in any form. Nobody should be denied access to online spaces and it is critical that women in public life can have a safer experience online. Women for Election is working with Social Media companies and Government to ensure the most robust structures online that don’t allow this kind of abuse to happen.
That being said, it’s always useful to brush up on the tools that social media platforms have that allow us to filter the content that we engage with, and mind ourselves and our energy as we engage with people in the busy online world. This training has been designed to help women navigate online spaces safely and effectively and to assist you on your journey in politics. From getting the most out of social media, to blocking and reporting the trolls, this training will enhance your online skills and confidence online.
Join us on this free training in the Meta offices in Ballsbridge where we will cover best practices on social media, being safe online and making use of all the tools, and staying resilient.
This training is ideal for any woman with a public online platform or someone who is planning to have a public online platform and presence in the future, as well as any woman who will be managing or supporting the campaign of another woman in the future.
